I will like to collaborate with Olamide before Davido – Jonzing Kid

Rising artiste; Jonzing Kid in Osun State University, Ikire Campus has revealed his intention to feature the big names in Nigerian Music Industry.

Kindly introduce yourself.

Good day to you all,my name is Yusuf Kamal popular known as Jonzing kid. I am also a student of Osun State University Ikire Campus,and I major in English.

What brought you into music?

Music is just a way of life and I find it easy to vibe around anything entertainment so I can just say my talents brought me into music and also the music stars like Davido, Olamide also helped in my music career and I believe will still help.

Who or what inspired you to start music?

Growing up with my brother has really helped and inspired me with my music because he has always been a wonderful mentor and a motivationist.

How would you describe the kind of music you create?

I would describe it as Afro music.

Who would you like to collaborate with?

As to who I will like to collaborate with,the first artist is Olamide and the Davido,Buju ,Wizkid and so on.

If not music, what else would you do?

Well if not music then it will be film industry,I actually find both singing and acting easy that I even do skit.

Where have you performed? Do you have any upcoming show?

I have performed in school dinners and concert and looking forward to do more outside school,and I’m looking forward to organize a show very soon.

Which famous musician do you admire?

Wow, right from time, I have always loved wizkid, Davido, Fela. I also admire other artiste though but those serve as role models.

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

One thing I would like to do is to bring international artist into the country,I notice that we are always the one going to them so it will be nice to have them here and even organize a concert.

How do you combine academics with music?

Well it has not been easy for me and my manager, but when it’s time to study then we do it and if it’s about the music we give it time too but still it’s not been easy especially when we attend shows and will have to wake up early to attend to some school activities.

How many songs have you released so far?

Well, so far, I have released up to five and the recent one is titled Jeje

How do you feel about the energy in your campus, has it been encouraging?

The energy is wonderful and encouraging but I’m looking forward to more turn up and encouragement from them.

Any message for your fans and upcoming musicians like you?

First of all I want to say a big thank you for the love you are all showing and I want you to keep up the good work,I want you to never stop believing in yourself and keep striving and everything will eventually work out.
