Kindly introduce yourself

My name is Oluwapelumi Adebusuyi Orimogunje, popularlly known as PELUMIKISS, a 300 Level Theatre Arts student of UNIOSUN Ikire Campus.

What brought you into the music industry?

I am passionate about music and I think I can fulfil my dreams by going into music.

What inspired you?

I was inspired by one of my brothers popularly known as “Honey Tee”.
I started loving music in high school, so one day I told him how I would love to compose a song like him, because he already had songs to his credit then, he encouraged me and told me if I believe in myself there is no height I couldn’t attain. Later that week, I recorded a free style with my phone, he listened to it, praised me and encouraged me to do better.

How many songs have you released so far?

Three songs.
I debuted with “Killing’Me”, then “What Doesn’t Kill You” came after and the third one is Bella Shmurda’s “GingerMeCoverChallenge”

Are you signed to any record label?

I am not signed to any record label, but I’m looking forward to being signed.

How do you combine academics with music?

It’s been really hard this year because of the covid-19, I barely have time for music, since resumption i have been busy with academics.

How do you feel about the energy in your campus, has it been encouraging?

It has been encouraging, but I expected more because i had high expectations.

Where do you see yourself in the next five years?

I see myself topping the music industry and being a great entrepreneur.

Your social media handles?

Should your fans expect new music from you soon?

Yes fasho, I’m working on new songs already and the songs are going to be a great banger that my fans will love, relate to, and vibe with.

As a fast rising artiste, who is your role model?

Anyone that makes good music is my role model. I just love good music and I’m learning a lot from several artistes in Nigeria like Davido, Mayorkun, Bella Shmurda, Omah Lay and many more.

What inspired your song, WHAT DOESN’T KILL YOU?

I realised all the hurdles I passed through and overcame so I decided to express it through music, I knew there would be people who went through or were going through hardships that could relate with it.
As an artiste, I felt my music could go a long way to restore their lost hope.

Any message for your fans?

I appreciate y’all for supporting my career.
Please keep supporting me, together, we can attain great heights.
