UNIOSUN empowers 16 alumni with 3.2 million naira startup fund

The Management of Osun State University has empowered 16 alumni of the institution with three million and two hundred thousand naira.

The alumni startup fund of 3.2 million naira was disbursed at Olagunsoye Oyinlola Hall, Osogbo campus on 20th November, 2020.

Each of the 16 alumni was given two hundred thousand naira (#200,000) each to fund their business.

The funds disbursement ceremony had Honourable Babatunji Olatunju, Honourable Femi Adeniran and Honourable Idris Ajayi as guests. Also in attendance was the University management team.

The Director of Advancement Office, Osun State University, Mr Marcus Awobifa who spoke with Olofofo Uniosun media noted that the funds disbursement is in fulfillment of the management’s dream to support the graduates of the institution.

“It is the fulfilment of the dream of our Management to support our graduates. UNIOSUN is the first institution to have done this. The institution also partnered with First Bank. Some of our Alumni are participating as Banking Agent on our campuses.” – he said.
