The management of Osun State University in a memo exclusively received by Olofofo Uniosun, has shutdown the six campuses of the institution.
“In line with the directives of the Federal Government, State Government of Osun and the National Universities Commission that all Schools are to be shut down in order to curtail the spread of Corona Virus in Nigeria, the Senate of the Osun State University, Osogbo, has recently announced the closure of the University with effect from Monday, 23rd March 2020.
The decision of the University’s Senate held on the closure of the University as directed by the Government stated that all students of the University must leave the premises of the University to stay in their various homes to avoid the spread of the dangerous disease.
Hence, students are expected to leave the University premises beginning from Monday, 23rd March 2020 and stay in their homes until a month from now.
We hereby advise all parents and guardians of our students to ensure that their children stay at home and stay safe to avoid them contacting the pandemic disease.”
