FACSSA President Clears Air on Fireboy’s Performance Controversy In UNIOSUN

The president of Faculty of Clinical Science Students Association, Osun State University;  Comrade Bolarinwa Richard has cleared the air on the controversy surrounding Fireboy’s performance at the dinner of the faculty.

In an interview with Olofofo Uniosun, the president who described Fireboy as a cool-headed person revealed that the story of what happened is quite different from what is being told on social media. He told our correspondent that Fireboy was not the one who prevented Flykid from performing but rather the poor organization of the dinner.

“Concerning the issue of 7 minutes performance of Fireboy, it’s not his fault. The fault is from the organization of the dinner. We started late.” – the president said.

He added that technical errors and break in transmission during fireboy’s performance made him not to perform for a long time.

The president however apologized to the students of the faculty over any misunderstanding or disappointment especially those who were unable to get their awards during the dinner. He further assured the students that they will work on their flaws and strongly hope to serve them better in the nearest future.

It should be recalled that Fireboy; a YBNL artiste was paid to perform at FACSSA dinner. After the dinner, some students were calling him out  on social media, alleging him to be a proud person who did not allow their own artiste to perform during the dinner night. Some UNIOSUN artistes have unfollowed him on social media.

Olofofo Uniosun was unable to reach the Uniosun artistes involved at the time of filing this report.

Hi Olofofo, I’m the so called artist who unfollowed Fireboy and I only unfollowed him due to the fact that he blocked me from seeing the activities from his acct. That was too childish of him no matter what may be the circumstances. I really love his music and I’ll keep loving it. I just hope we all meet at the top one day.
