The Vice Chancellor of Osun State University, Professor Labode Popoola in a press briefing with Olofofo Uniosun correspondent, has revealed the resumption date for 2018/2019 Rain Semester.
The Don in an interview told Olofofo Uniosun correspondent that the resumption date for Rain Semester is 20 May, 2019.
While reacting to a question raised concerning a special resumption date for the 100 level students who are currently writing Harmattan Semester Examinations, Professor Labode said that there is no special date. All categories are expected to resume on 20 May, 2019.
“Resumption date for the Rain Semester remains 20 May, 2019 for both categories of students.” – VC said.
The Vice Chancellor added that if there is any change to the date, it will be formally communicated.
It should be recalled that recently, the institution sent 18 students to Gambia. Professor Popoola told Olofofo Uniosun correspondent that it is an international field experience that every student across all disciplines must have.
He however commended the CEO of Olofofo Uniosun, Olatunde Temitayo for the role his medium is playing to foster peace and harmony in the University and beyond.
“Let me also appreciate the role you and your medium are playing to foster peace and harmony in the University and beyond. We shall not relent in our efforts to uplift the institution. I conceived the Gambia trip for our students as an “International Field Experience” that as many of our students across all disciplines should have. We need to work together to popularize and sustain it.”- VC lauded.
The Vice Chancellor further revealed his accessibility. He told our correspondent that students should access him anytime without restriction.
